The Role

The Professional Diving Academy (PDA) is seeking an experienced and motivated medical professional to join our training team as a Senior Diver Medic Technician (DMT) Instructor. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering internationally recognised IMCA Diver Medic Technician training to commercial divers from around the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing candidates, and ensuring compliance with IMCA training requirements and industry best practice. Working within a professional and dynamic training environment, you will contribute to the development of diving personnel operating in some of the world's most challenging offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver IMCA-approved Diver Medic Technician training programmes in accordance with current IMCA requirements and Academy procedures.

Prepare and deliver classroom, practical, and scenario-based training sessions.

Assess student competence and maintain accurate training and assessment records.

Ensure all training activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Academy policies     and procedures.

Maintain training materials, lesson plans, and course documentation to ensure continued compliance with IMCA standards.

Participate in internal and external audits and quality assurance processes.

Support the ongoing development and improvement of training programmes and course content.

Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and management of medical training equipment and facilities.

Provide professional guidance and support to students throughout their training.

Liaise with Academy management and other instructional staff to ensure effective course delivery.

Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development and industry engagement.

Support other Academy training activities and projects as required.

Required Skills

Applicants must meet the requirements for approval as anIMCA Senior DMT Instructor and should possess:

Current qualification as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse, or Medical Physician.

Sound knowledge of emergency medical care and casualty management.

A strong understanding of medical issues and emergencies associated with commercial diving and     offshore operations.

A recognised Train-the-Trainer, Teaching, Assessing, or Instructor qualification.

Evidence of current professional competence through active practice and/or Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The ability to deliver engaging and effective training to adult learners.

Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
