Start your commercial diving career with the Professional Diving Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Standby Diver. This is a rare opportunity that combines industry-leading training with long-term employment, including a place on our 10-week Offshore Career Package followed by full time employment with the Professional Diving Academy.
· Undertake stand-by diving duties as required,and to the standards and timescales set, by the Training Manager
· Support the Training Staff in the provision of student instruction where required to do so and in accordance with the course syllabus
· Undertake all standby activities in a productive and safe manner
· Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, guidance, risk assessments and emergency procedures
· Ensuring Academy assets are utilised in a productive, safe and efficient manner
· Support the Dive Supervisors in carrying out on-site equipment repairs
· Support the Training and Support staff to ensure any complaints, queries, or technical issues by current, potential, or past students, are resolved quickly and effectively
· Support the Training Staff and Technician Team in the preparation and organisation of diving equipment and facilities
· Maintain the PDA stores, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and stored correctly, and all defect are reported accordingly
· Provide first-line interaction with candidates
· Undertake all necessary housekeeping duties whilst onboard dive vessels, support vessels, or in the Unit and other miscellaneous duties as required
· Provide professional and timely support to any internal or external audits
· Undertake miscellaneous ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the Training Manager and Senior Management staff
